Will you hold? is a solo exhibition by artist Makda Embaie that unfolds through multiple meanings, both discursive and material. The exhibition attends to the act of holding: physically handling, carrying, supporting, caring for. At the same time, it considers the inherent fragility of what is held: will it hold, last, remain together? The question establishes a relationship between the observer and the object, implicating both equally.
