Circa 1996. We had been in Sweden for 2-3 years when this photo was taken. This was at my foster family’s house, where my siblings and I ended up after living at refugee centers in northern Uppland (including Österbybruk). I was 13–14 years old when this photo was taken. 2005. The picture was taken when I went back to Uganda for the first time since we came to Sweden in 1993. I visited my old school Kireka Primary School where I went to school since the age of four and prior to moving to Sweden. I lived at the boarding school since age 4. Photographer: Unknown.
